MCS v10.0a New Features and Enhancements

  • New HTML5 Bi-Directional Route test. A route test only shows one path through a network. MCS10 simultaneously measures inbound and outbound network paths to quickly identify and resolve asymmetric latency problems that affect the user experience.
  • New HTML5 Firewall Test. Provides a simple pass/fail framework for testing and validating high volume port assignments.
  • New Satellites (non-Java) now deliver automated server and agent services in a single deployment. This delivers the ability to establish assessment points throughout an enterprise network to quickly expose and resolve user experience issues.
  • Improved Assessment Reporting: MCS10 improves integration of SQL services to support automated export and assessment of test results through proven market leading Dashboard solutions.
  • The MCS high performance solid-state Access Cloud Servers now support Synchronized Multiport Testing. Assessment of very high bandwidth pipes (10Gbps, 100Gbps) is very difficult to do accurately, but is crucially important because of the significant impact fat pipes can have on the user experience. The new ACS Synchronized option creates a precise load to 100Gbps and beyond.
  • Updated User-Interface with improved ease of use.

MCS v10 introduces a powerful new MyConnection Independent Certification Cloud (MICC) Network Testing Service

The MICC Quality Assessment Cloud utilizes Visualware’s unique quality and performance assessment technology, which delivers a solution to allow MCS customers to quickly identify and resolve problematic connections that affect the user experience.

  • Easily allocate virtual Quality Assessment Points (QAPs) from one or more city locations, and enable connection assessment tests directly to the target MCS server with a simple click of the mouse
  • Delivers a simple and seamless interface for the MCS administrator who can manage the Virtual and Physical APs in a single UI. Virtual QAPs allocated to MCS from the Cloud will coexist and report alongside any existing physical Satellite/Quality Assessment Points (APs).
  • Enable quick and accurate validation of the first mile as well as the last mile. QAP Cloud resources can be allocated for as little as a day or up to a year.
