Visualware Introduces MyCoolTools™ Portal with Complimentary Internet Tools and Services
MyCoolTools site provides no-fee system analysis tools and IP tracking services
TURLOCK, CALIF. – January 14th, 2004 – Visualware Inc. today announced MyCoolTools, a new Web portal with several free services to help Internet users trace IP address, check their Internet connection speed and identify system configurations. The new site offers four different options for rapid diagnostic information relating to Internet connectivity and IP tracking:
· VisualRoute® Server – helps identify hackers and suspects by tracing an IP address to its geographical location, and identifying the network service provider for the IP address. VisualRoute Server also helps locate routing bottlenecks between the server and the destination address.
· MySpeed – determines Internet connection speeds, both download and upload, enabling visitors to quickly see how their connection is performing.
· CPUInfo -- provides quick verification of key system parameters such as processor speed, model number and cache settings.
· WhoAmI -- provides quick verification of Internet connectivity diagnostics including operating system (OS) type and version, TCP/IP, local and external IP addresses, Internet gateway, DNS and Web access.
“The services provided in the MyCoolTools portal are all key diagnostic tools for anyone that uses the Internet,” said Jerry Jongerius, Visualware’s chief technology officer. “The diagnostic results are very quick, do not require any software to be installed and save valuable time for anyone trying to resolve a connectivity problem or investigate an IP address.”
The new portal is available to all Internet users by visiting www.mycooltools.com; use of the MyCoolTools services requires a complimentary e-mail subscription to the Visualware newsletter. Future fee-based subscriptions may be introduced for select services.
