10009 Error Solution

This error is caused by incorrect TMP and TEMP environment variables being specified. To solve this follow the steps below:

Step 1:

Right click the 'My Computer' icon as shown below (fig1) and choose 'Properties'

Step 2:

Click on the 'Advanced Tab' of the properties dialog box and click the 'Environment Variables' button at the bottom of the dialog box as shown below in red

Step 3:

In both the lower and upper panes, there may or may not be variables TMP and TEMP. If they exist, they will be a list of directories separated by semicolons. You should ensure that each directory specified actually exists.
